The Ask

I recently publicly admitted that I had been a thoughtless judger and so I figured I might as well be a beggar too. At this rate, I could star in my own episode of the show, Shameless. I’m not comfortable with this version of thoughtfulness which makes it all the more reason for me to share it.

In honor of my birthday coming up, I am daring myself to do something that I am afraid of. Actually, it’s not that I’m afraid, I just don’t like doing it. I am asking for help because I need more social media followers. There, I said it out loud. That wasn’t too bad. Ok, that’s all I wanted to say; thanks for your time.

Kidding. Let’s try this again. These are the things I know:

  1. Reading a blog is a time commitment.

  2. There is so much content on the internet these days that millions of people are competing for your attention.

  3. Imposter Syndrome is real. Who am I to think that I have something to say that you want to hear?

If you agreed with any of the above, I see you. I personally do not have time to read anyone’s blog consistently and I also don’t have the attention span to fully commit to an influencer. I most certainly understand that my theme is not for everyone. Speaking for myself, there are so many great fitness, home decor, fashion, make up, cooking influencers out there. For now, I’m not their audience. In other words, I get that I am asking for a lot.

HERE IS THE ASK: Please share my information with any living and breathing person that you may know. My hope is that someone could get something out of my posts and/or my 1 minute daily videos on IGTV.

HERE IS THE SALES PITCH: Being thoughtful is NOT a goal, a challenge or a virtue. Being thoughtful is part of the lifestyle that every person chooses to live. No one is without thought. Because there are so many ways to be thoughtful, no one can be completely void of it. Fortunately for me, this means my blog will never run out of content. With that said, there will be times when we (or someone you know) will need support or inspiration to be more creative or BETTER at being thoughtful. This is when my blog can come in handy. If we let others know that my posts are available, ThoughtfulPinch.com can be a great resource.

HERE ARE MY OFFERINGS:

  • Thoughtfulpinch.com - is a blog. Type in key words to find posts that will pertain to many thoughtful topics. Sign up for weekly emails and the posts will come to your inbox as soon as they are published.

  • One minute videos on Instagram TV - IGTV. {Mondays} I speak about Mind Shift Mondays. {Tuesdays} I promote my latest post. {Wednesdays} I tell a tidbit about myself or the company for Who/What Wednesday. {Thursdays} I feature Thank You Cards and other card writing tips. {Fridays} are usually about past posts. {Saturdays} I use social media to say thank you again for things that I am grateful for - Say It Again Saturday. {Sundays} are videos in a pot luck style of information.

  • The Thoughtful Pinch Facebook page contains posts and reposts that are relevant for the day.

  • I created the Thoughtful Pinch App which can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play. More on this to come because the revision is almost approved by Apple and more users will want to use it.

  • There is a Thoughtful Pinch Alexa skill that can be accessed by enabling the Thoughtful Pinch skill. Once it’s enabled, say, “Alexa, ask thoughtful pinch what the pinch of the day is.” Alexa will read the first paragraph of my current post.

  • I created and patented 10 Styles of Thoughtfulness.

  • The Thoughtful Pinch Pinterest page has posts organized by categories; especially gift ideas.

  • The Thoughtful Pinch Twitter and LinkedIn accounts are not used often but could also be sources if needed.

  • Last but certainly not least. I am the founder of the day, National Thoughtful Day which will be celebrated every August 28th starting this crazy year of 2020. NationalDayCalendar.com is my number one resource when writing about national days and I am honored to be an ambassador for the company. If National Thoughtful Day inspires people to be more thoughtful one day a year, having their own calendar may be helpful in spreading thoughtfulness all year long! Please use this link to buy some fun stuff.

I have laid it all out for you. If you were thinking of giving me something for my birthday this year, here it is. I am asking to please share all or parts of this post. Maybe you know of someone who would benefit from the Pinterest page and someone else who would love the app. Word of mouth is the best way to get someone to follow. It would be a thoughtful pinch for you to put your endorsement behind something you believe in because we’re always looking for a short-cut; if you like it, then I will like it. Even if you don’t share any of this, please consider sending me positive juju to gain more followers. I want to be here for those who need help collecting their thoughts or expressing them. There’s nothing I love more than hearing that I have inspired someone by what I said or did. It makes my day (heck, it makes my year!).

Pinches,

Barb
