Yogi Blurbs

I finally practiced yoga after a four or five month hiatus. The yoga hiatus was not because I needed a break from it. Gosh, I love yoga. No matter how intentional I want to be, life just rolls right over my practice. You’d think I would make it a top priority since everything about yoga makes me feel like Barb Pellicer Paton. When I come back to yoga after missing it, I find myself again. That’s the cool thing about yoga. When life gets in the way of practicing, which it will always fight to do, there is peace knowing that I will find myself again.

Towel Day

This Wednesday, on March 25th, people will celebrate Towel Day. Towel Day has been around since May 2001. Douglas Adams fans created the day as a tribute to him 2 weeks after he passed away. He is the author most known for his series The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Douglas Adams is quoted as saying, “A towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have.” I personally haven’t heard of this series or the author but when I went on the site, nationaldaycalendar.com, and read their segment entitled 7 Essential Ways to Use Towels, I knew I had to write about towels.

Party People

I love parties. I love going to parties and I like hosting parties. I am a party person. Since we moved to Colorado, I have been fortunate enough to team up with some amazing friends to host some parties. I thought I would share what I have learned about co-hosting parties because I have come to the conclusion that my days of throwing parties on my own are over

National Do Something Good For Your Neighbor Day

There are a few things that I like about the national holiday Do Something Good for Your Neighbor Day. First, I like that the way to celebrate this national day is both vague and specific all at once. Second, if you’re fortunate to have good neighbors, this day is easy-peasy to celebrate. And last, the word neighbor can be defined as: “1. A person who lives near another. 2. A person or thing that is near another. 3. One’s fellow human being.”, according to Nationaldaycalendar.com. In other words, if you don’t want to celebrate with a person who lives on your block, you can celebrate with a cubicle neighbor at the office or the workout neighbor at the gym etc. The possibilities are endless!

Spotify

In May 2015, I wrote a post called A Mother’s Mix Day. The title was a play on words which included A Mother’s Mix, which is the name of the CD playlists that I have been curating since 2010 and since I give out these playlists every Mother’s Day, I combined the two for a Mother’s Day post. I know, it’s very Wheel of Fortune-like, right? Well today’s post uses A Mother’s Mix Day as a base and goes a little further.
