10 Random Things I'm Grateful For Daily

I started going to another eyebrow gal because my favorite had to move out of state. When this new esthetician saw me again only two weeks after she first waxed my eyebrows, she said, “I feel like I just waxed your eyebrows.” I complained to her that I will be getting my eyebrows waxed every two weeks because they grow so quickly. To that she replied, “Hey, be grateful that you can grow hair because it’s easy to remove but hard to grow.” I realized just then that having fast growing brows is something random to be grateful for.

Connection (Part 3)

Social media keeps us connected to friends, family and acquaintances from all parts of the world. It is fascinating to have this connection right at our very own finger tips. Remember when writing letters was the only way to reach people? Then everything evolved: telegraphs, the telephone, morse code on the radio, email, fax machines, pagers, cell phones and now here we are, socially connected. If we need to get in touch with someone, the only struggle we may encounter is a bad wifi connection. Other than that, it’s amazing how quickly we can connect to someone.

The Jay-Jay Way

I’ve mentioned many times on social media that my cousin Jay-Jay is extremely thoughtful. I tap into her for many things relating to Thoughtful Pinches and lately I’ve been feeling like such a dope! Jay-Jay has been specifically showing her thoughtfulness for years but I didn’t pick up on her technique until recently. Now that I am aware of it, I feel like she should be writing this blog - not me! The following is what I affectionately call the “Jay-Jay Way” :

Gifts: My Mission

You could say that I’m in the gift-giving “business”. But actually giving a gift is the by-product of what I am really trying to do here. The fundamental reason why I created the Thoughtful Pinch app was to help people take a moment to let someone know that they are thinking of them. Even though my app facilitates the process of giving the gift, my mission is to spread the word about the MOMENT we reach out to let someone know they are being thought of. Gifts are great but being thought of matters 100 times more.

The Story Behind the App

Ok, I saw the pinch on the app and I read your texts to get what happened but I still sent the notification to the dev to see why. But my guess is the capacity to post or share a post isn’t part of the pinch field so you may just have to pinch the person w/o giving all the details of why they need it. I know that’s not very helpful and you seemed to get around the issue bc you created a pinch but for now, it’s photo, title and comment. I’ve made a note for consideration for revisions. Thanks Tom!

The App Is Here!

Let’s say you run over to Target (cough, marketing opportunity, cough) to get shampoo, dog food and paper towels. You’re cruising down the aisles with the shopping cart but stop to put in a pair of running shorts and a cute tankini. You continue to rush around the store but a set of hand towels catches your eye. The towels have succulents and cactus graphics on them. Your cousin Rochelle would absolutely love those towels so you check the price. It’s $8.00 for the set. Great price but you‘re on a budget and can’t afford to buy her gifts every time you think of her.
