Are You Ready For Some Football?

People may not care about football as much as our family does but it still begs the question - Are you ready for some football?  My neighbor can care less about football but she is ready for the football season to start because that is exactly when she hits the stores. Usually stores are very busy on Sundays but they are empty when the game is on.  That is one smart shopper!

For our family,  the football season started the third week of July when my hub left for three weeks of training camp. During that time, I stock up on some NFL goods to send to our family so they can be ready for our new season.  I love Target.  Each Fall I notice they sell more and more items for football fans who want to "represent."  And it doesn't mean the city's NFL team or the popular local college but also the local high school!  How cool is that? Blankets, mugs, teddy bears, socks etc.  You name it, Target has inexpensive items for you to pick up while you are already out getting laundry detergent. Do you know a football fan who would love a thoughtful pinch?  Pick up some extras while you're at it.

Lucky mom, her birthday was on 8/7 and so I sent her some thoughtful pinches. But you all know what the main gift was. (hint: money) - She will be sporting these during the season for sure!

There's something about the start of a new football season that gets people excited.  Maybe it's the hope of a better football team or the clean slate in their standings.  Whether you cheer on your alma mater or you paint your face and wear a jersey of your favorite NFL player, there is always something promising about a new season.  High school football games are on Fridays.  College games are on Saturdays.  NFL games are on Thursdays, Sundays and Mondays. It seems like football only takes Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.  Who are we kidding?  There are no days off during the season.  And tis the season, this Thursday colleges will begin the competition.  Aaaahhhh, you can just smell the brats & hot dogs!

Someone small and cute got this thoughtful pinch.

I sent flavored licorice (some purple grape and some "supposed to be yellow but was beige" pina colada), a bag of football shaped pasta and a note to encourage our family to cheer the Vikings on! Skol!

I loved a recent Facebook post from my cousin.  She bids farewell to her husband for the football season but she is not bummed, she will finally have "me time." See how football effects so many people?

Pinches,
