Pampering Pinches

I'm always trying to find unique thoughtful pinches for Valentine's Day because I think this holiday is the ultimate thoughtful pinch day. I have already written two jam-packed posts that contain gift ideas for Valentine's Day - Eat Your Heart Out and Love is in the Air - but I am adding even more ideas. My theme for this year is Pampering Pinches. When I think of pampering, I think of calming self-care paired with wine. Ahhh, to be back in Costa Rica in a tub filled with flowers, hot water and milk while my view is over-looking the trees. There were no windows because the tub was outside in the open air, on top of a mountain, under a roof covering. It was like a scenic view from a Disney movie. The sun shining, butterflies floating around, birds singing and the sound of howler monkeys filling the air as I sipped red, delicious wine and enjoyed a plate of fruit and cheese. I was eating and drinking in a tub? You betcha. That's what one does after having a facial and one hour massage at Los Altos de Eros in Costa Rica. The whole experience is topped off with a delicious lunch and more wine by the jacuzzi.
If only I could just bottle up that moment of time, head straight over to the post office and send those bottles to all my Valentines. It would be such a wonderful gift to give and to receive. Instead, I have a few pampering products that are fun and could make a nice pinch for the ones you love.
My daughter has hair that is out of control. Even though I'd love for her to wash her hair every single day (she's a swimmer) its just not going to happen (yet). I think she could at least get the chlorine off her body everyday. These shower caps are cute and useful. She will love the purple cap. I bought them at Spalon in Edina.

I love theSE tiny bottles and the colors are perfect for V-day. Sure the names of the colors are so Xmas holidays but the colors are so Valentine-ish. Another Spalon purchase.
Christy, my manicurist at Spalon, gave me the tip on these pens. It is the easiest thing to use when you need your bling to sing. Shine up the jewels with these pens. I ordered them on Amazon and I'm slipping one of these in a cosmetic bag for one of my Valentines.
Maybe those of you in warmer states wouldn't appreciate these but where I live, these socks come in handy. They keep the rest of your feet warm while the toes nails dry.
Great pampering pinch for any gender. Yes, it says hangover. I originally bought this gift for my cousin's almost 16 year old son but I caught it right before I sent it. His mama will get this pinch instead. I'm thinking she may have needed this after the rehearsal dinner in December. You never know when you'll need a hangover buster.
These soft socks came in men's crew or knee highs. Pamper thy feet.
Putty, slime, clay, play dough or whatever. Hands kneading anything calms the mind. I'm giving this to my son for his Vday pinch.
Enough said. Spruce up a bottle of your favorite wine and give it to your loved one for V-day. I bought the last one at Spalon!
I love myself some Minnesota-shaped anything. So when I saw the wine references AND the shape of MN, I had to grab a bunch of these kitchen towels.
These cards have absolutely nothing to do with pampering or calming BUT I'm so proud of my cousin Pauline! She designed these cards for Minted and we ordered 75 of them. My kids signed the cards to give to their classmates and we have enough for everyone else in our village.
My pampering theme for Valentine's Day has put me in the mood for some self-care for myself. I have a brow wax, manicure, facial and massage all lined up this week. It's not about DESERVING to do this for myself, it's about caring for my loved ones so much that I want to take care of myself for them. In order for me to be the best version of myself, self-care is super important. Not only do I want to be around to help my family and friends, but I want to feel and look good while I'm doing so. Have yourself a pampering little Valentine's Day!
