MN Holiday Gift Guide
Hello North people! Specifically Minnesotans or people who like Minnesota. I’m so lucky to feature a contributor to Thoughtful Pinch’s Holiday Gift Guide (special editions). I’m so excited! The first cool/hot gal contributor is none other than Nicole Trigger of Live & Love MN.
When I asked Nicole to share items that she would put on a holiday gift guide, she was gracious enough to send over her top four items that make great gifts. Thank you Nicole. Let’s get right to it!
There’s ALWAYS a coffee drinker on your gift list and this mug is perfect! Besides proudly representing the home state, it’s “boss” size. Because size matters - especially for coffee -someone is going to appreciate your thoughtfulness because you’re giving them a 15 ouncer!
Not to rush on. Coffee is great. But it’s time to consider using coffee mugs for three things other than holding coffee. How about: 1. The tea drinkers. They need to represent too.
2. Ok so we have the coffee and tea drinkers covered on our gift lists. Check and check. Now how about anyone on our list that likes dessert? It may surprise you to find a few of those people on the gift list.
3. I know I said we need to think of other uses besides coffee and tea but I didn’t say anything about hot chocolate. You’ve heard of a Dirty Girl Scout, right? Hot chocolate and lots of peppermint schnapps. Make a batch of hot cocoa mix (here’s a great recipe) or buy some. Put enough dry hot cocoa mix for one serving into a plastic bag, bottle or container. Place the serving of dry hot cocoa mix and the cute bottle size (used on airplanes) of peppermint schnapps in the Live & Love MN mug. Wrap it up. Done.
Time to dress those who are proud of living in Minnesota. Let’s face it - there’s only so much U of M clothing options one can wear all year round. It’s time to add to that Minnesota pride wardrobe. Besides, layers matter. Especially in the Fall, Winter and Spring. You know, 350 days out of the year. LOL. When you give someone one of these Live & Love MN tank tops, you’re really helping them stay warm, look cool and show home pride. Therefore, the tank serves three purposes and it’s only one gift. That’s a thoughtful steal of a deal. And if you think long and hard enough, I betcha you can think of someone who used to live in MN and would feel nostalgic if they received one of these tanks. They probably miss it around here so the tank (or shirt) would make them feel better (even if they live at the beach in 90 degree weather all year long). As for the Mens Crewneck Tee, gosh, I love the design on this one too! Here’s a link to a past blog that explains why I wear MN anything when I’m anywhere outside of MN. These Live & Love MN items are wonderful to wear around town for any occasion, every day. Additionally, when you wear them out of state - they become conversation starters. They become connectors. They become our billboards. More and more studies show that people’s greatest desire is to connect with others (thank you Brene Brown). Check your gift list. You’re bound to find someone on there who is a connector, who likes to meet people. Get them this shirt. They will wear it here or there, they will wear it anywhere!
Isn’t this model a beauty? That’s my friend Anne. She’s wearing this sweatshirt like a pro! I just have to say, this item is for the tween, the teen, the college student, the millennial, the 40 year old, moms, dads, grandparents. I mean, you can picture this sweatshirt on anyone. It can be classy, it can be sloppy, it can be preppy, it can be sporty. It’s for those who want to represent but don’t have to be front and center all the time. It’s classic. It can be dressed up or down. I’m using way, way, way too many words to describe versatile at it’s best. It’s the closest thing you’ll find to Dr. Seuss’ thneed. My second reference to Dr. Seuss. He’s a legend. I digress. Grab these sweatshirts now!
This was a special treat and I feel honored that Nicole was a contributor. She shared her best items (I promise there are so many more goodies on the site!). I am grateful that she allowed Thoughtful Pinch readers an opportunity to visualize the items and she gave us a special code to save some money (tip: there are deals on the site and you don’t need a code so don’t stress if you forget to enter it). Happy Shopping to anyone who LIVES and/or who LOVES Minnesota!
Pinches,
Barb
