457
My math skills are very questionable these days. I thought after 8 years of writing one blog post a week that I would have written at least a post a day for 365 days in a year. Turns out, I wrote 457 posts. I find that to be an accomplishment in itself.
Today I printed a blank calendar for each month starting with March 2023 and ending with February 2024. Since my Blog Anniversary falls in March, my Thoughtful Pinch year starts every March 3rd. I filled the calendar boxes within each month with the post titles that corresponds with the date from a previous year. For example since this post will be published on March 7th, I looked back at March 7th in previous years and found that I wrote a post called “Did You Hear The One About…” in 2017.
Fun Fact - even though I wrote that many posts, did you know that there are 4-5 days per month that are blank for each of the twelve months ? Not one post was written on that day of the week in all of the eight years that I wrote posts.
Challenge - which day of the week is it? For extra credit tell me why this day of the week hasn’t fallen in my post schedule - ever.
On the other hand, there are some dates, for example March 1st, when two posts were written on that date. March 1, 2017 I wrote “I Just Can’t Stand It “ and on March 1, 2022 I wrote “#7 .” Now March 7th will have two posts that correspond with it as well: “Did You Hear The One About…” and “457”.
You get my drift, right?
I am both proud and perplexed. Proud that some months have 38 posts and yet perplexed because every Saturday from March to February does not have any post titles written in. (This is the answer to the challenge above but I can’t give you the answer for the extra credit because I have no clue!).
So for the past week I’ve been talking about going in a different direction for the blog while keeping the premise about thoughtful pinches the same. My new format will be more of a conversation about each of the past posts. And if the post is about a national day, I will for sure bring up the day so that others can celebrate it with the website nationaldaycalendar.com.
I’ve got to run but before I do, I just want to put it out into the universe that I hope the new format will include the recordings of me reading all the past posts on the days in which they correspond. Then the plan is to pos the readings on You Tube. I also envision interviews with thoughtful people and showcasing those texts and posts that were influenced by Thoughtful Pinch.
At this time in my life I just can’t get to it but I will, one day. Stay tuned…I’m getting there!
Pinches,
Barb
