457

My math skills are very questionable these days. I thought after 8 years of writing one blog post a week that I would have written at least a post a day for 365 days in a year. Turns out, I wrote 457 posts. I find that to be an accomplishment in itself.

Help Me, Help You

Years ago I wrote a post entitled Flaws. It took balls to write that post which I didn’t realize until I just looked it up and I’m pretty proud that I was able to articulate my exact sentiments in a short post. Let me clarify, I am not proud of the person that I am, I am proud that I have the ability to use my words to express how I feel. The Flaws post exposes my thoughts about my mother and in the process, I face my own flaws. I remember getting so many texts and comments about that post.

Online Learning Day

I hesitated to write about this national day because I feel like it hits too close to home too soon. Most of us are living a virtual lifestyle daily and we don’t want to get comfy with this new normal. Celebrating National Online Learning Day this year seems so BLAH. After all, if we have school-aged children, online learning is a double-edged sword. On one hand, we’re so grateful that learning can happen virtually and on the other hand, we are so bummed that learning can happen virtually.

The Good of Many

Jan, the person I hired to help me organize my time so that I could be more productive in my business, struck a nerve when we last spoke. But before I tell you what she said, I have to tell you about the convo we had prior to my "aha" moment.

I had already met with Jan a few times to tighten up my office "in box", work flow and time schedule so that I could concentrate on taking my business to the next level. {here's the post on my first meeting with Jan} We reviewed my schedule again. She learned that I recently made mixed cds for Mother's Day and asked me how much time it took to make them. I calculated it out loud and she made the observation that I created these thoughtful pinches with my children.
