A really good problem to have is that some of the teachers at my kids’ school actually read my blog. This means I can’t always write about what we are going to give them before a holiday because I want them to be surprised.
I’m pretty proud of myself. Last week I shipped all of the holiday gifts to our out-of-state friends and family. This is a first for me because I’m usually scrambling for gifts and then standing in long lines at the post office on multiple trips, sweating. I found a way to beat the post office sweat and actually enjoy the shipping process of our gifts.
I recently asked Jay-Jay to join Thoughtful Pinch as a contributor because she has great taste and she has a passion for finding the perfect gifts for the people on her gift list. While Jay-Jay was coming on board as a thoughtfulness curator, Thoughtful Pinch as a company, was starting to grow and has been picking up momentum. I asked her to be a manager, mostly keeping me from going insane.
My daughter knew my friend Wendy was famous even before she actually became famous. I’ve known Wendy for years and so when my daughter would see her name or hear me talking about her, she would say, “Oh, she’s famous!” I never corrected my daughter when she would say this but I think she was mixing up Wendy with Reese Witherspoon. Which in her defense, is very easy to do! Both of them are adorable and both are savvy business women!
Hello North people! Specifically Minnesotans or people who like Minnesota. I’m so lucky to feature a contributor to Thoughtful Pinch’s Holiday Gift Guide (special editions). I’m so excited! The first cool/hot gal contributor is none other than Nicole Trigger of Live & Love MN.
Recently, I was asked if I was going to put together a Thoughtful Pinch Gift Guide for the holiday season. My immediate reaction was, “Holy Smack Me In The Head With Flattery!” I’m so grateful that my friend Wendy asked me that question because not only was it a huge compliment, but she got me thinking about this awesome idea! I wasn’t sure if I could put together a gift guide but I knew one thing, it was definitely time to collaborate.
I love it when my daughter shares her creative genius with me! Thanks to her, the thoughtful pinches that we gave to the teachers this year for Thanksgiving Day were simple; uncomplicated. I can say that now but I have to tell you, right before I went out to buy the gifts, it became complicated.
My social media newsfeed is loaded with friends forming a habit of posting daily gratitude posts and I am loving it. The more thankfulness shared in the world, the better! This habit will transform my friends by the end of the month and it will be amazing.
If you don’t like the flavor of pumpkin, you’re pretty much counting the days for this season to end. Everywhere you turn, there are pumpkins and pumpkin-flavored products. Halloween is among us, which means there is an abundant amount of pumpkins everywhere!
I was pleasantly surprised when I unloaded three bins of Halloween decor two weeks ago. I had completely forgotten that I had stored away all of the half-off items that I bought last year for the thoughtful pinches that I would give out this year! It was one of those times that I was so grateful that my past self thought about my future self. Lol.
When we were kids, the Magic 8 Ball was “the end all be all” of authority. Just like when the Godfather, Don Corleone, gave his final word, whatever the answer the plastic ball gave us was the answer. Period. Of course we would cheat if we didn’t get the answer we wanted by posing the question differently in order to get a second chance.
I’ve mentioned before that I’m very lucky to have the support of some pretty darn talented Pellicer cousins. It’s time to introduce you to my cousin Jay-Jay, the gift-giving goddess herself. She will be collaborating with me on Thoughtful Pinch and all I can say is, “Hallelujah!” She’s been a Pro* at giving gifts for at least 35 years and fortunately for me, I have been on the receiving end of awesome thoughtful pinches for ALL THOSE YEARS!
