#7

The number seven is a popular number. Besides being worn by many great athletes like Elway, there are many positive associations with the number. I may be one of few but I actually consider the “7 Year Itch” theory a positive thing. And who doesn’t like belting out Take Me Out the Ball Game during the 7th Inning Stretch?

That's Obvi

I am often asked if we’re supposed to write a thank you card when we receive a thank you gift. In other words, do we say thank you for the thank you? It would seem like a continuous cycle of thanking each other if that was the case. But I think the question is valid. Let’s dive into it together.

50

When I was in my twenties I thought fifty was REALLY old. Rightly so! My twenty year old self had not gone thru multiple times barfing up “over-served” tequila and the awkward break ups and the whole roller coaster of finding a career that really fit my “calling”. So I agree, I am old - the thirty year difference between a 20 and 50 yr old is a lot of years.

Sorry, Not Sorry

In my book, there are two sets of people that should be completely excused from sending thank you cards after they receive gifts.  The first set, is any woman that just gave birth or adopted a baby or child. I don't care if it's her 10th child, no woman who has a new child should have to write a formal thank card for a baby gift.  Ain't nobody got time for that.  The second set of people who shouldn't be expected to write thank you cards are the ones who have lost a loved one. No further explanation necessary.
