The List Pinch

People are either list makers or they’re not. Making a list brings peace of mind to some because when life is scattered, a list is comforting. If it’s on the list, it’s hard to forget. I always thought everyone made lists. However, I learned that some lists stress people out. To see the number of items on a list can overwhelm those who want to focus on the present moment.

National Thank You Note Day!

Well this national day is going to be tough to write about since I don’t know anything about thank you notes. Kidding!! Are we talking about the national day designated every year for Thank You Notes and is celebrated the day after Christmas? If so, that is right up my alley. Although I was tempted to write a post giving High-Fives to those who already write thank you notes or to guilt people into writing them if they don’t, this post is about neither. Instead, I’m writing about this national day for those who are so overly grateful that the task to write thank you notes is overwhelming. And I’m not talking about overwhelming because it’s another “To Do” item added to an already full list.

Jotted - Lines

So many of us struggle to write in a card when we want to let someone know that we’re thinking of them. Maybe we want to mark an occasion, soothe a sadness, congratulate, encourage etc. Because I am someone who talks a lot, this isn’t a problem for me. When I write to people, I just have a one way conversation. However, as easy as it is for me, I do know that the struggle to write in a card is REAL.
