Guest Spaces

At the moment, I am deciding where to get mattresses for our guest bedroom. Exciting, I know. The price difference between two vendors is around $150-300 depending on the various specifications. I am buying two full size beds so it adds up to a minimum of $300 to consider. I wouldn’t usually discuss price details about my home decor (unless it was a steal!) but the decision about which mattress company to use is hanging on me. I am trying to live up to a thoughtful concept that involves guests.

Giving Props

There will be a thoughtful point to this post but it may take a story or two to get us to it.

I got married later in life, I was thirty-three. I once had a career in advertising and I made three times the amount my boyfriend (before he was my hub) was making during that time. But a year or two before we got married, because of total burn out, I became a pre-school teacher. It actually cost me money to be a teacher because my income was practically nothing after my expenses. {SIDE NOTE: the Thoughtful Pinch blog exists because teachers are special people}.

Balance

Mother’s Day 2020 was the most PERFECT day of my year so far. This statement is significant because the Virgo in me strives for perfection 24/7 but the Type-A in me won’t ever let that happen. My Mother’s Day was special because I felt completely BALANCED. Yowza! That’s another significant statement because I equate the concept of “balance” to a unicorn. Everyone wants to believe in unicorns even though we know they don’t really exist. And everyone wants to believe that there is such a thing called “balance”.
