Tiny But Mighty

Whenever I use the phrase “tiny but mighty” I am channeling the cartoon character Mighty Mouse; a small superhero mouse who always made a big impact. I think “tiny but mighty” was one of my favorite phrases of 2021 because I used it to label anything that seemed small but could beat the odds and exceed expectations. Well, get ready - Thoughtful Pinch is going thru a “tiny but mighty” change.

Holiday Interruption

We interrupt this holiday season for a GIVEAWAY. Using “pause” in this moment in time seemed over-used so I am interrupting the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. But why now? We’re working hard and we still need to decorate the house, buy gifts, wrap gifts, send out holiday cards, make grocery lists, bake, etc. why would I do a give away now? Because someone may need a free gift - that’s why!

National Creativity Day

National Creativity Day has been celebrated on May 30th ever since 2018 and according to Nationaldaycalendar.com, Hal Croasmun and ScreenwritingU wanted this day to be recognized as a way to “celebrate the imaginative spirits everywhere and to encourage them to keep creating.” Maybe I’m not the only one, but I never knew this national day existed. Now that I know about it, I feel like more than ever, we should be embracing and celebrating creativity. Over the last few months our lives have been about creative work space and situations, creative parenting, creative remote learning, creative graduations. Where would we be during this COVID-19 era without creativity?

National App Day!

Remember when iPhones were introduced in 2007? Then, remember in 2008, when Apple came out with OS 2.0, there were approximately 500 apps on that version? What did we do before apps came along? Hunt and gather? Was sliced bread invented before 2008? Did we even have color TV before then? I mean, our lives have changed so much since apps were introduced that the phrase “game changer” is the ultimate understatement.

The Jay-Jay Way

I’ve mentioned many times on social media that my cousin Jay-Jay is extremely thoughtful. I tap into her for many things relating to Thoughtful Pinches and lately I’ve been feeling like such a dope! Jay-Jay has been specifically showing her thoughtfulness for years but I didn’t pick up on her technique until recently. Now that I am aware of it, I feel like she should be writing this blog - not me! The following is what I affectionately call the “Jay-Jay Way” :

Gifts: My Mission

You could say that I’m in the gift-giving “business”. But actually giving a gift is the by-product of what I am really trying to do here. The fundamental reason why I created the Thoughtful Pinch app was to help people take a moment to let someone know that they are thinking of them. Even though my app facilitates the process of giving the gift, my mission is to spread the word about the MOMENT we reach out to let someone know they are being thought of. Gifts are great but being thought of matters 100 times more.
