There is a Christian saying, “God never gives us anything we can’t handle.” I believe this to be true and so whenever faced with adversity, I repeat that saying to remind me that I can get thru whatever it is that I am dealing with at the time.

Surprisingly, leaving Denver after our 18 day visit was tougher than I thought it would be. Prior to our trip, the Type-A in me envisioned being there checking off a lot of boxes and getting things done. And we did.
Ok, it’s the new year. I’m organized. I’m well-rested. I am ready to face 2019. As for resolutions, I made one and I also made three daily goals. Rather than getting into why I chose “Forgive” as my one and only NY resolution, I thought it was way more important to talk about what we do with all the gift cards we received over the holidays first. I mean, priorities.
Recently my brother-in-law gave me an affirmation. I saw him minutes after I had just received an awesome massage and he said, “You deserved that.” I accepted it as a compliment but then I thought: what does one have to do to “deserve” a massage? Why was I more deserving of a massage than the next guy?
