Business Cards

Just like this lemonade, my Thoughtful Pinch business cards are simple and sweet.

You'd think in this day and age business cards would be obsolete.  I mean, why would you need to give out contact information on a card ? What with social media and Google at the snap of your fingers, isn't it redundant?

In my opinion, I find the need of business cards more important these days than ever before.  Everyone is living in a fast-pace world. We're all really busy.  Why not provide a 2x3.5 inch REMINDER card to someone who you want to keep in touch with?  It's thoughtful to give out your business card. What you're saying is, "I know you're busy. You don't have time to input my contact information into your cell phone right this second. I can't expect you to remember what I do for a living because you're just trying to remember your list for Target. This card has all my contact info on it, find me when you need me."  Looking at it that way,  one can see how business cards can be thoughtful pinches.

I'm blessed that my cousin, who is very talented and generous with her time, just designed my business cards.  My cards only have my contact information and my new logo (which was also designed by my cousin). Simple and sweet. I cannot wait to pass them out!

I have many, many talented friends that run small businesses and own their own companies.  I love to spread the word about their services or products.  I grab a bunch of cards from businesses when I want to share my experience with others.  However, I've noticed over the last year or two, that I've done nothing with their business cards. Up until now. Besides posting these images of the cards on my blog, I am actually sending a physical business card out to some friends who I think may benefit from having the contact information.  Sometimes all one needs before they take the next step is an endorsement from a friend or family member. If we share our experiences we help others. Win-win.

My friend Katie can whip up anything she sees and wants to make herself.  She is so talented.  She specializes in oil cloth. Anyone with a baby thru teenager years needs oil cloth because kids are messy. Heck, so are adults! She also makes fun t-shirts and serious leather strapped tote bags. Here's the link.

My friend who is constantly consulting opened up her own business and has made a name for herself in the fashion industry. A top seller for Stella & Dot, Wendy branched out and has  been helping tweeners find their style without wasting time & money as they figure it out. She's a regular contributor on the local TV show Twin Cities Live. You can find her here

Rebecca knows what size you wear from the minute she meets you - even if you're wearing a down jack and sweat pants on a flag football field.  She has an eye for knowing what body types need certain fashion items.  But her best talent is knowing that even though I am not ready to shop at Chicos, I can't get away with Forever 21 Daisy Dukes either.  She keeps me current for my age bracket which is why I think everyone should thank her for what she does.

The thing about organizing your house or your time is that it is a life style.  Just like diet and exercise.  You can hire organizers all day long but if you don't live the habit of purging and putting things where they belong, then you're back to square one.  If you're ready to commit, then paying for guidance is not a question of how much does it cost, its a matter of how soon can you start.  Jan can get you there.

Here's my guy. Although he commands a hefty hourly rate, the return on the investment is crazily worth every single penny.  You may have one issue that really needs Jeff's attention, but he doesn't sit idle while something is uploading.  If you have a list of issues, most likely he will get to them.  Not to mention, he's really patient and very nice.

If you're a special gal, you deserve special business cards.  Cybele had her info engraved into black-coated sheet metal. Because you know, everyone needs metal in their lives. In case you want to know if I endorse her service - click here - I wrote all about Cybele in a post.  She  actually wants to have some of my business cards so she can hand some out to her clients. Thank you!!

Business cards are walking billboards and/or tiny reminder notes. Every business can only hope that their cards make it into the right hands.  Since thoughtfulness can be spread around in many different ways, take a moment to endorse someone or some service you really like. I'm sure they would appreciate the thoughtfulness (and hopefully some more business).

Pinches,

Barb
